Smooth, Nutty & Sweet Brazilian Coffee

The Leodis Coffee Brazilian Santos (the Ocelot) – Smooth, Sweet & Wonderfully Easy-Going. Our Brazil Santos Single Origin Coffee prefers to let the flavour do the talking.

Grown in Brazil’s renowned Santos region, this 100% Arabica coffee is naturally processed to bring out its rich sweetness and smooth, full-bodied character. Expect comforting notes of roasted nuts, cocoa powder and peanut butter, finished with hints of treacle.

However you brew it, it will keep surprising you just like the ocelot can sneak up on you from a branch high up in the rainforest canopy.

Rich enough for espresso, smooth enough for a cafetière, and beautifully balanced in a flat white or latte. It’s an easy-drinking coffee with a creamy body and low acidity, making it a favourite for everyday brewing. Reliable, approachable and seriously chocolatey, you can’t get smoother than this.

Brazil – Coffee History

Brazil has been producing coffee for more than 300 years and it has seen everything from the darker side of history with slavery and coffee barons to economic crashes, but also developments in infrastructure and farming methods. Brazilian coffee is known for quantity. By the 1920s Brazil was producing 80% of the world’s coffee and because of the lower altitudes, the coffee always comes out clean and sweet. It’s also a top producer of the Robusta variety of coffee, which is known to contain more caffeine, but doesn’t always taste better.

In recent years, Brazilian producers have also invested heavily in sustainable farming and conservation, helping to protect native forests while continuing to produce exceptional quality coffee for generations to come.
